CARD READER

All card readers are nation specific and its up to the local reseller to support how you can hook up the card reader to your photo booth.

when cable 7 & 8 cross the relay will start a cycle. You will connect the card reader to wire 7 to card reader puls and wire 9 or 5 to card reader gnd. you want the card reader to close the cucuit (draw puls to GND) to start a camera cycle.

The card reader usually operates on 24 or 12V DC. To enable a simple installation of the card reader, it should provide a pulse that pulls to ground.

The photo booth’s camera cycle is started by the camera’s relay when pins 7 and 8 on the camera’s ”Jones connector 15 pin” are connected. These cables carry 110V and should therefore not be connected directly to the card reader’s pulse signal, but instead connected to a relay that sits “between” the photo booth and the card reader.
